Proudly situated in Latin America, on a strip of land , that by luck of God, and man, it is an oasis of peace and prosperity, named Costa Rica, Zulu Cariari kennel, was founded in 1996, with the intention of improving the breeding of african dogs, in Latin America and the world. Initially specializing in african breeds Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Basenjis.

Zulu Cariari is the Latin American Rhodesian Ridgeback kennel which is respected worldwide; we have some of our dogs competing in North, Central, and South America, and also in Europe.

We have bred 49 champions in 23 different countries, showing the benefits of planned breedings, and pride of Costarican and Latinamerican breeding.

Our initial breeding stock was selected from the most respected breeders in the world, we started with dogs from South Africa, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and U.S.A.

In our planned breeding program we breed dogs, with sound temperaments, structure and movement, without damaging the initial breed characteristics which were formed by the founders of the breed, not taking for granted the beauty and power of this manificant breed. We only produce 2 litters per year, since we believe in quality and not quantity.
